Support to study

The more skills you have, the more choice you have when looking for a job. Youth Service will help you find the best option for education, training or work-based learning that will help you build your skills and find a job.

How can Youth Service support you into study?

Your provider will help you get the services and support you need.

The kinds of things they can do with you are:

  • figure out what might be stopping you succeeding at school, training or in work-based learning
  • sort out the steps you need to take to get into education, training or work-based learning
  • put together an action plan that will help you reach your goals
  • help you get back to school or to apply for training courses
  • support you in school and training
  • check your progress
  • help you stay on track
  • update your plan when things change
  • be your coach or go-to person.

Is there financial support available while I study?

While you are studying you may be able to get Youth Payment, Young Parent Payment, student allowance or a student loan.

Your Youth Service Provider will work with you to confirm whether you are eligible for any of this assistance.
